I've been a tester since the second week (heres proof if you need it: link). I figured I'd post my impressions now that the NDA is loose. I'll start with the good and move into the things I believe need changing.
The Good:
The customization is fantastic, I am blown away by it. You can change every aspect of every weapon and everything your soldier is wearing. You can swap out gun parts, clothing, and armor and you can even paint each part. You can even change your character's voice/language which is really cool. There is 1 american voice, 2 russian voices, 2 polish voices, and 1 german voice. For guns you can choose a whole-gun skiiin instead of painting each part individually if you want to. You can even customize your scorestreaks, which I thought was really cool. It affects the cosmetics of the streaks AND actually have an impact on performance. For example, you can change the artillery between options like larger explosions or shrapnel depending on the situation. You can choose different explosive heads for attack drones, different ammo for tanks, etc. Many of the attachments for guns are missing descriptions and the stats per gun are very lackluster, it only shows the damage dropoff charts and the chart does not change based on what attachments you put on. I hope that in the future they add in more statistics and have them dynamically change based on the attachments.
The weapons in the game feel pretty great to use. They each definitely have their own playstyle and feel unique. There aren't that many in the game right now, off the top of my head I believe there are 4 or 5 assault rifles, 3 lmg's, 3 snipers, 1 shotgun, 3 smg's, and maybe 3 pistols (I never used a pistol). There is definitely room for more and the devs confirmed they will be adding more, so I'm not worried in this department. The weapon sounds are okay, and some weapons sound similar to others. I hope they can make each weapon sound a little more unique.
The gamemode itself is similar to conquest from battlefield but as I'm sure everyone on here knows you have to cap 2 flags in order to get points. I really like this actually, and I've found that coming back from huge losses is very possible with a well coordinated team.
The optimization in the game is going to be a very hot topic as many people get very different results. I can only post what is relevant to me. For a game that is currently pre-alpha/alpha, the optimization is good in my opinion. I have an i7-7700k, a 1080ti, and I have the game installed on an m.2 ssd. I have the graphics on max settings (except for antialiasing but that's personal preference) and the game rendering at 1440p and I get 90-130fps pretty consistently. I get even more fps when I enable some of the antialiasing methods, but I don't like the blur that comes with any AA. They have room to improve, but the game is in a similar state as insurgency sandstorm (if not a little better for me personally) with WAY more time than that game has. I'm not concerned about this at the moment.
The graphics are also pretty great. Obviously it is not Frostbite engine quality, but I would say that it's like insurgency sandstorm (I like WW3's graphics better than sandstorm's though) with a battlefield 3/4 art style. Looks great, especially in some of the indoor sections of the Moscow map. The indoor sections are where I think the game is most comparable to battlefield 3/4.
To be improved:
The maps are pretty good, but there are certain flag placements out in the open that are sniper heaven. Spawn trapping was a big issue a couple of tests ago, but they've made improvements to it recently. It's still there, but I think they are working to improve it. I would suggest making the spawns a little farther away from the A-flags on the Moscow map. The german map is in a pretty good state right now after they messed with objectives and spawns.
Snipers are incredible right now. They need to be nerfed and the devs have stated that changes are coming to balance them out right now. I think that the SMG's could use some buffing to make them more viable, and the shotgun is pretty bad in my opinion. They definitely need to work on balancing them out and I hope they add some more shotguns in the future.
The lighting system in the game is great overall, which is why I put graphics in the good, but broken glass on the floor creates a really bright reflection/glow that is annoying and looks extremely bizarre. This should be fixed, as there is A LOT of broken glass.
