Photon Energy a.s. announces the acquisition of a 250 KWp rooftop project in Germany
The management board of Photon Energy a.s. announces that on 21 April the company acquired the project rights to a 250 KWp rooftop photovoltaic project located in Albstadt in one of the sunniest parts of Germany. The project is ready for construction and Photon Energy will seek to build and connect the plant before the end of 2010Q2. The project rights were acquired from Alpensolar GmbH, Photon Energy's German partner company that developed the Dachbörse (roof exchange) in Germany for a consideration of EUR 35,000 or EUR 140 per KWp. The connected photovoltaic plant will be the first component of Photon Energy's strategy to build and hold a long-term portfolio of rooftop projects in Germany.

“The acquisition of this first photovoltaic project in Germany marks our first step towards entering the German photovoltaic market. Given that Germany has the most developed and largest photovoltaic market in the world with significant future growth potential particularly in the rooftop market, it is on the top of our list for expansion beyond our Czech home market. Photon Energy will be able to benefit from a more stable operating environment and diversify its regulatory risk", said Georg Hotar, Chief Financial Officer.

Photon Energy and its board members are unrelated to the principals of Alpensolar GmbH and the owners of the building on which the 250 KWp photovoltiac plant will be installed.
