In August 2019, Mintos suspended Aforti Finance from the Primary and Secondary Markets as the lending company failed to transfer borrowers’ repayments to the investors on Mintos. Aforti and Mintos agreed on a payment schedule, but Mintos didn’t receive payments as agreed. After lengthy negotiations, in February 2020, Mintos and Aforti Finance agreed on a restructured payment schedule and additional security for the investors. As Aforti failed to honor the agreed payment schedule, in the spring of 2020, Mintos started legal action against Aforti Finance and Aforti Holding.
Following the legal enforcement proceedings of the courts in Poland, a bailiff was assigned for the case we had put forward against Aforti. The bailiff has initiated the process of investigation and seizure of various Aforti company's assets in order to facilitate the deb t collection and the transfer of the collected funds to investors on Mintos, the primary creditors of Aforti. Mintos has been informed by the bailiff that several bank accounts of Aforti have been seized while the process is yet to be finalized.
At the moment of the suspension there was €2.2M of investor investments at risk and until today additional ~€0.1 million of interest has been amortized. As of yesterday, the recovered amount was €0.3 million. After today's transfer to the investors on Mintos, a total of €0.7 million has been recovered, and the remaining amount to be covered is €1.6 million. The deb t collection continues.
We will inform you as soon as we have more news. In the meantime, please follow the
