Chinese-Lithuanian joint venture AviaAM Financial Leasing China Co. Ltd. has signed an agreement for the lease of 16 new Airbus A320s to the Russian largest carrier
Aeroflot. The deliveries of the aircraft are scheduled for March of 2017.
The joint venture agreement between the Lithuanian AviaAM Leasing and the Chinese Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company was signed in May of this year. The Chinese side plans to build and maintain a fleet of aircraft worth up to $900 million, reported AviaAM. The venture specializes in providing narrow-body aircraft to lessees.
A320 is the most popular type in Aeroflot’s fleet. The airline currently operates 71 Airbus A320s and 32 larger A321s. Since January through October the carrier has received nine A320 and phased out one such aircraft.The airline’s 190 aircraft strong fleet also includes 22 A330s, 15 Boeing 777s, 20 Boeing 737s, and 30 Sukhoi Superjet 100s.http://www.rusaviainsider.com/chinese-lithuanian-joint-venture-to-lease-16-a320s-to-aeroflot/
