Kronos and Huntsman announce TiO2 price hikes Kronos Worldwide announced price increases for all titanium dioxide (TiO2) products effective 1 March 2013. In Europe prices will rise €200/ton or $250/ton. In North America prices will rise $0.10/lb. Outside of North America and Europe including among other areas, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Asia prices will increase $250/ton. The Pigments division of Huntsman Corporation also announced global price increases for all its TiO2 pigments. The following increases are effective 15 March, 2013 or as contracts allow: Europe €230/ton or $300/ton in dollar-based markets; North America $0.10/lb; AsiaPacific $300/ton; Africa, Latin America and Middle East $300/ton
Cristal announced today that it will increase prices on all of its anatase and rutile TiONA^ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO[2]) products sold in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Asia Pacific sub-regions effective April 1^st, 2013, or as contracts allow:
* In North America: Prices for all anatase and rutile TiONA^ products sold in North America will increase by US 10 cents per pound.
* In Eastern and Western Europe, including Turkey: Prices for all anatase and rutile TiONA^ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO[2]) products will increase by a minimum of €200 per metric ton. In Russia, the CIS countries and other European US Dollar markets, prices for such products will increase by US $300 per metric ton.
* In the Middle East and Africa: Prices for all anatase and rutile TiONA^ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO[2]) products sold in US dollar markets will increase by US $300 per metric ton or by a minimum of €200 per metric ton in North Africa.
* In Asia Pacific: Prices for all TiONA^ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO[2]) products sold in the Asian markets will increase by US $300 per metric ton. In Oceania, prices for all TiONA^ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO[2]) products will increase by Australian $200 per metric ton or by a minimum of US $200 per metric ton in the US Dollar markets. In Japan, prices for all TiONA^ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO[2]) products will increase by Yen 20/kg.
* In Latin America: Prices for all TiONA^ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO[2]) products will increase by US $300 per metric ton.
