The import tariff on fuels abolished beginning Sept 10PM Jerzy Buzek announced yesterday that the government will introduce duty-free fuel imports from the countries with which Poland has signed free trade agreements (EU, EFTA, CEFTA, Lithuania, Estonia, Faeroes, Turkey). The government's ordinance will take effect on Sept 10. The move is part of the anti-inflation measures that the government promised to take when the information about July's 11.6% y/y inflation was released. Buzek said that the inflation would start falling in the nearest future, and added that next week, the government would present details of its anti-inflation programme.
