Kredyt Bank to sell its stake in BOSKredyt Bank is going to sell its 19.79% stake in Bank Ochrony Srodowiska (BOS) to Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB). Another 7.7% of BOS will be sold by Kredyt Bank's subsidiary Rolmex. Kredyt Bank did not reveal the agreet value of the transaction. SEB said it would like to increase the stake in BOS to over 33%, but it is not clear whether BOS's main shareholder, the National Environment Protection Fund (NFOSiGW), which controls over 50% of voting rights in BOS has reached any agreement with the Swedes. Kredyt Bank tried to take over control over BOS since the beginning of last year. However, despite a considerable stake, it has been not even able to introduce its representatives to the bank's supervisory board, blocked by BOS's management and NFOSiGW. Analysts have been saying that Kredyt Bank might have given some direction to BOS, as the current board of BOS has no clear strategy. However, the only way to finish the conflict between the shareholders is that both of them should sell BOS's shares to a strategic investor. On Wednesday, the share price of BOS dropped by 3.7% to PLN 79.
