Arena.pl to go public in March 2001The Internet portal company Arena.pl wants to raise USD 35-40mn through an IPO planned for March 2001. Arena's chairman Witold Grzesiak said the company hoped to sell at least 50% of its shares on the Warsaw stock exchange. "We need money for developing our products, mainly those linked to e-commerce, for marketing and operational costs," he said "We will consider selling as much as 70% of the capital if necessary." Recently, one of the most popular Internet portals in Poland Interia.pl said it wanted to list its shares over the coming months as well.
