NFI Fortuna was formed as part of Poland's mass privatization program. . It sold most of its assets, distributed its cash holdings to shareholders and was supposed to be liquidated. Its shareholders can reverse this process with a resolution that stops the liquidation passed with a 75 pct. majority of the votes cast at a meeting attended by owners ot at least half of Fortuna's shares. In the fall of 2007 Cyprus-based Buskot Trading acquired a controlling stake in Fortuna. |
